Ah man, you have no idea how excited I am that some readers are piecing bits together. I try not to comment on readers speculating on the plot because I don’t want to reveal anything, but it always makes me so gleeful to see it going on.
… I’m justifying my reaction to this by telling myself this isn’t a big reveal.
Meora concepts! Her name’s Meora by the by.
Started out designing her build. She couldn’t be the same lithe figure as Amity as she’s fairly physical throughout her part in the story.
Thinking about her color scheme- I was very tempted to make her a natural redhead, but decided she would be more natural as an dark auburn brunette gal. But then I started thinking about one of the consuls I designed earlier, how he would dye his hair red as a vanity and that led me to thinking about weird trends in fashions or make ups in different cultures! So I decided to make her a red head again, but this time for a “hip” reason! Only now I realize that I’ve cut out the two lines mentioning it in this scene’s script. Oh well Aleco can mention it later. Or I can cram it back in I guess. We’ll see.
Next came her clothing designs. I … think(?) this is the first time I’m designing clothing with a pattern ? ? !? Maybe ? ? ¿ Both her scarf and her uh… vest poncho thingy are patterned. It’s an interesting challenge to get me to pay attention to clothing folds, I’ll say that up.
These where the six color swaps I came up with. The first one I made ended up being the most pleasing to me. I really like the third fourth ones as well though, so I’ll probably recycle those into another of her or someone else’s outfits.
I’m debating whether or not to post the consuls’ design sheets. I fear it shall be more boring than this.
